Tougher Bed Checks - Dodgers New Arizona Facility Not to Have Dormitories

MAJOR BLOGS - www.majorblogs.net - NASHVILLE, TENN. - The Dodgers will be looking to the large supply of hotel rooms in the area around their new ballpark, rather than the dormitories that have been the custom at Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida, since the team occupied the facility in the 1940s.

“There is a certain camaraderie that develops,” commented on Dodgers exec, “when they eat together, sleep together.”

Hotels also mean additional challenges when it comes to things like bed checks.  The disconnect, along with the arrival of Torre and the hunt for big-ticket players continues to affirm a large sea-change in the way that the modern Dodgers organization is going to be wired.
